Who needs it?
  • All 2 axle vehicles with a GVWR of 26001 pounds or more.
  • All 3 axle or more vehicles regardless of weight
  • Except IL Only vehicles
What is it?

You will receive 2 stickers which need to be placed on each door of the vehicle along with an IFTA License which belongs in your Permit book in the vehicle.  Purchase of this permit will require quarterly IFTA fuel tax filings.

Who needs it?
  • All vehicles 60,000 pounds or more
What is it?

Each vehicle’s VIN number must be registered under your KYU prior to entering KY for the first time.

What is it?

This is an electronic permit.  It no longer needs to be marked on the doors.  The officer knows by your USDOT Number if you have registered with Kentucky.  Purchase of this permit will require quarterly KYU tax Filings.

  • All vehicles 28,000 pounds or more
What is it?

This is an electronic permit.  The officer knows by your USDOT number that you have purchased the NM WDT Permit.  Purchase of this permit will require quarterly NM WDT Filings.

  • Vehicles plated 18,000 pounds or more
What is it?

This is electronic.  It is New York’s way of setting you up in their system.  They require detailed information on the company and a corporate officer.

  • All Vehicles 18,000 pounds or more
What is it?

NY issues a decal that belongs on your bumper.  They also issue a permit to be carried in your permit book.   Purchase of this permit will require quarterly NY TMT tax filings.

  • All Vehicles 26,000 pounds or more
What is it?

OR issues a permit per vehicle which must be placed in the permit book.  Purchase of this permit will require MONTHLY Oregon mileage tax returns.  Once twelve returns are filed and paid timely, you may request quarterly filings.
